Willowdale is starting up its very own Youth Council. If you are between the ages of 13-24 and want to be involved in a new initiative to bring youth together from all over Willowdale, then this opportunity is for you.
We want local youth to engage with both the federal and provincial political process as part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to empowering our youth. Council members will meet several times a year to: discuss policies, strategies and resources, visit key organizations in the riding, assist with organizing events in the riding, and meet with various government officials to discuss relevant emerging topics or issues.
This year we are joining forces with our Federal counterparts at MP Ali Ehsassi’s office. We hope that by collaborating with the Federal office that we will be able to cover a greater area of government policy and other relevant issues. This is a great way to meet like-minded individuals, learn about the government process, engage in exciting opportunities and expand your network!
Hope to see you on my council.
